RIMINI, Italy, June 1, 2021 – The United States
dominated the Netherlands in their second round
contest at the Women’s Volleyball Nations League
of FIVB on Tuesday.
The
Americans improved their win-loss record to 5-0
following the straight sets victory 3-0 (25-22,
25-15, 25-18). They will close this phase with a
clash against winless Thailand in five outings.
Kelsey Robinson led a balanced American attack
with 13 points followed by Andrea Drews and
Jordan Larson with 11 and 10 points,
respectively. Foluke Akinradewo with 9 tallies.
Anne Buijs and Indy Baijens led the Netherlands
with 9 and 7 points, respectively,
The
Americans outscored their opponents in serving
aces 7-0 and also in attacks 41-28.
Both teams
scored via 5 blocks each. |
