RIMINI, Italy, June 7, 2021 – The United States
remained as the only undefeated team at the FIVB
Women’s Volleyball Nations League following an
overwhelming victory over South Korea on Monday.
The American side improved to a win-loss record
of 8-0 after crushing the South Koreans in
straight sets 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-15).
En route to their eighth triumph in a row, the
USA Team registered wide margins in attacks
(37-18), blocks (10-2) and aces (10-4).
Haleigh Washington racked up 15 points to lead
the balanced attack of United States, followed
by Jordan Thompson, Michelle Bartsch-Hackley and
Jordan Larson with 9, 8 and 7 points,
respectively.
Seoyoung Yuk and Seungju Pyo each had 5 points
as the top scorers for the Asian team. |
