USA stays in second place in VNL

SOFIA, Bulgaria, June 22, 2022 – The United States defeated Serbia in four sets 3-1 (26-24, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20) to stay in second place in the standings of FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League.

The American team improved to a 7-1 win-loss record with 21 points only trailing the undefeated Japan 8-0 and 24 points.

Torey DeFalco had 25 points as the top scorer for the United States followed by Kyle Ensing and Aaron Russell who contributed 13 and 12, respectively. Middle-Blocker David Smith added 11 points, including 4 via blocks.

Aleksansar Atanasijevic finished with 20 points for Serbia, while Pavle Peric and Miran Kujundic followed with 16 and 12, respectively.
