RIMINI, Italy, June 12, 2021 – United States
kept alive their undefeated win-loss record
after defeating Belgium 25-9, 26-24, 25-20 in
the opening day of the fourth round at the FIVB
Women’s Volleyball Nations League.
The American side sit atop the tournament’s
standing at 10-0 with five more matches to play
in the 16-team annual event.
The United States team dominated Belgium in
attacks 53-21 and also in blocks 7-5. The
winners made 23 errors compared to 14 by the
European side.
Jordan Thompson racked up 21 points as the best
scorer for United States followed by Kelsey
Robinson with 14 and Jordan Larson with 10. |
