USA sweeps China

HOFFMAN ESTATES,
United States, June 23 2019 – United States swept China 3-0
(25-20, 25-19, 25-19) to close the fourth phase of the Men’s
Volleyball Nations League on Sunday.
The victory was the
seventh against five losses for the American side which is
already qualified to the Final Six as host of the competition.
China is in the last places of the standings with a 1-11 mark.
The winners led in
attacks by wide margin 48-31 and also held the advantage in
blocks 10-4. China was tops in aces (4-1) and made 16 errors to
19 by United States.
Taylor Sander was the
best American scorer with 15 points, followed by Benjamin Patch
and Garrett Muagututía each with 14.
The best for China
was Chuan Jiang with a match-high 17 points, with Libin Liu next
with 8 points. |
