KORTRIJK, Belgium, July 17, 2021 – The United
States advanced to the deciding match for the
fifth place on the finals day at the FIVB
Volleyball U20 Women’s World Championship after
producing a 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25-18) shutout of
the Dominican Republic on Saturday.
Emily Londot and Caroline Crawford led the
United States with 17 and 12 points,
respectively, while Reagan Hope and Allyson
Batenhorst contributed with 9 and 8 points. For
the Dominican Republic, Geraldine Gonzalez and
Romina Cornelio finished with 8 and 7 points.
The United States will play Poland for fifth
place while the Dominican Republic will play
Brazil for seventh place. |
