ANKARA, Turkey, July 5, 2015 - Krista Vansant had a haul of 22
points as the USA powered past Belgium 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18)
who were no match for the in-form American side in Ankara.
Belgium remained in third place in Preliminary Pool C after
being overwhelmed by the Americans who improved to a 3-0
win-loss mark.
Nicole Fawcett and Kimberly Hill added 12 and 11 points,
respectively, in the victory. Celine van Gestel and Laurea
Heyrman topped Belgium with 12 and 11
Germany were in rampant form in Ningbo, China as they
overwhelmed a Dominican Republic side who were slow out of the
blocks as Maren Brinker scored 13 points for the European side
to lead them to a 3-0 (25-6, 25-18, 25-23) win over the
Caribbean side.
Louise Lippman contributed 8 points to the victory, while Lena
Stigrot, Margareta Kozuch and Marie Scholzel each had 7 points.
Lisvel Eve and Erasma Moreno had 10 and 9 points, respectively,
for Dominican Republic. |
