USA’s MVP Kyler Wade Headlines Men’s
U21 Pan American Cup Individual Awards
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, June 28, 2026. – United States
opposite hitter and team captain Kyler Wade was named the Most
Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 Men’s U21 Pan American Cup
after leading his team to an undefeated run and a second
consecutive tournament title on Sunday at the Teodoro Palacios
Flores Gymnasium in Guatemala City.
Wade was one of four American players recognized among the
tournament's individual award winners. In addition to earning
MVP honors, he was selected as Best Server, while teammate Mateo
Fuerbringer received the First Best Spiker award and Jonathan
Dykstra was named Best Receiver.
Silver medalist Canada collected three individual honors.
Tyson Dezutter was recognized as Second Best Spiker, Matthew
Siebenga earned First Best Blocker, and Matthew Brown was
selected as Best Setter.
Bronze medalist Costa Rica also featured prominently in the
awards, with Stanley Grant finishing as the tournament's Best
Scorer and Jeremy Vanega receiving Second Best Blocker honors.
Venezuela's Yoisbel Galeno was named Best Opposite, while
Dominican Republic libero Emanuel Ramírez completed an
outstanding tournament by claiming both the Best Libero and Best
Digger awards.
