Gliwice, Poland, October 11, 2022.- The United
States, the only remaining participant
representing the NORCECA area in the Women's
Volleyball World Championship, won its
Quarterfinal match against Turkey.
The Americans outperformed the Turkish in
attacks (44-35), in blocks (13-9) and in
services (4-0) to beat them in straight sets
with a score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-15, 25). -20) and
thus move on to the Semifinals.
For the United States Alexandra Frantti had 18
points, Andrea Drews 14 and her captain Kelsey
Robinson added another 10. For Turkey Ebrar
Karakurt scored 16 points and Zehra Gunes added
11.
The semifinal match of the United States will be
against the Serbian team on October 12. |
