had us playing hard, it was a challenge, which we like to play
because it makes us better”. Speaking about an overall
conclusion of the tournament, he said “we made some progress in
some things we wanted to improve; we are looking forward to face
Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Canada in January as we will
compete for the Olympic berth”.
Coach Marcos Kwiek said “we reached two of our objectives, so
I’m not totally satisfied. We both played at a good level, we
are the only team that won a set to USA; they are a difficult
opponent but not invisible. The tournament allowed us to check
out and study our opponents for the Olympic Qualifier; there is
little time to practice”. |
