Lodz, Poland, October 4, 2022.- The United
States defeated the Dominican Republic at the
start of Phase 2 of the Women's Volleyball World
Championship.
The Americans defeated the Caribbean Queens in
four sets with a score of 3-1 (21-25, 25-19,
25-20, 25-14). The United States was better in
attacks (63-47) and in services (7-2) while the
Dominican outperformed them in blocks (12-9).
For the United States Alexandra Frantti had 17
points and Andrea Drews and Kelsey Robinson
added 15 points respectively. For the Dominican
Republic, left-hander Gaila González got 17
points and Brayelin Martínez added another 12. |
