The Honduran team was encouraged by hundreds of fans who attended the Gym # 2 Jorge Galeano, of the Olympic Village, who enjoyed the powerful game of the United States and the claw of the local team.

Devyn Robinson with 15 points and 14 of Jessica Mruzik, led the attack of the United States that outclassed Honduras 41-8 in attack, 6-1 in blocking and 10-2 in serves, with 5 aces of Robinson. For the locals, Isabella Rosa made six points.

Allison Jacobs, captain of the United States: "It was a lot of teaching for us, we can learn a lot to keep improving in the next stage that will be stronger. The semifinal is different, we have not had such a strong competition and we have to check our possible rival, see the statistics and work on that to be in the final".

"It's definitely a new experience to play with so many fans, we feel very pressured especially in the service before the pressure of the public".

James Stone, coach of the United States: "We are convinced that today we played a good game, Honduras played well, I am impressed, as well as how the public welcomed them, I liked that a lot".

"Our central players played very well, there was a lot of connection with the setter who knew how to work in that area."

Dazly Durán, from Honduras: "Playing against the United States is the best, we have played only with teams from Central America, but already facing teams of this level makes us aware of our weaknesses and tries to improve our strengths. We knew that everything was positive for us, any point had to be celebrated because you do not always play with these teams."

Osiel Vásquez, coach of Honduras: "Today we had two meetings with the girls, we knew that the game was very difficult, we told them to enjoy the game and they tried to do their best. We are happy because they showed a lot of character on the court. Tomorrow we have another difficult game, Canada is far above us in stature and we will go out and give everything on the court."

Honduras will play Canada on Thursday in the quarterfinals at 8:00 p.m. while in the other series, Nicaragua will face the Dominican Republic at 6:00 p.m.
