United States will play for its seventh gold medal
TRUJILLO, Peru, July 13, 2019 - The United States won the right
to fight for its seventh gold medal in the Women's Pan American
Senior Cup, after beating Colombia 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-15) at
the Gran Chimú Coliseum in Trujillo.
The United States, which has so far yielded only one set in the
entire competition, showed why the defending champion is leading
all the lines: attack (46-22), blocking (10-4) and service
(8-2). The Colombians registered 11 unforced errors, and 18 the
Americans.
The methodical game of the winning team, allowed them to
register an effective and varied attack of the hand of Madison
Rishel, Hannah Tapp and Kadie Rolfzen with 13 points each; and
