SAN JOSE, Costa Rica, July 29, 2015 – A Physical Education
Teachers Course is taking place in San Jose, Costa Rica as part
of the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Program (VCP).
The course is promoted by the Costa Rican Volleyball Federation
in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Costa Rica.
Thirty-two teachers hailing from all over Costa Rica are
participating in the one-week course under the instruction of
Miguel Holz Bodlaender of Chile.
Greivin Romero Aguilar, officer of the Health and Environment
Student Department of the Ministry of Education commended the
importance of the event and its purposes.
“This project began last year as part of the National School
Games and the courses are necessary for the proper instruction
of our teachers,” Romero said. “The results were very positive
with the practice of volleyball expanded to the most remote
regions in several schools with teachers prepared by the VCP
course.”
The VCP Teachers Course consists of 20 sessions of practice and
theoretical instructions, including rules of the game and
prevention of injuries. |
