Women's Beach Volleyball Quarterfinal

Field Complete at CAC Games

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 29, 2026. – The quarterfinal field is set in the women's beach volleyball tournament at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 following the conclusion of Wednesday's preliminary round.

Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela advanced as group winners, joined in the knockout stage by runners-up El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

The quarterfinal matchups are set, with Pool A winner Dominican Republic facing Pool C runner-up Guatemala, Pool B winner Cuba taking on Pool D runner-up Nicaragua, Pool C winner Mexico meeting Pool A runner-up El Salvador, and Pool D winner Venezuela playing Pool B runner-up Puerto Rico.

The host duo of Crismil Paniagua and Julibeth Payano completed an unbeaten run through Pool A with a 2-0 (21-9, 21-11) victory over the U.S. Virgin Islands' Vernecia Caines and Verneeci Caines. Earlier in the day, El Salvador's Karla Tovar and Daniela Vigil secured second place in the pool by defeating Belize's Nelissa Ramírez and Clara Sabal 2-0 (21-10, 21-13).

Cuba's Maykelin Drik and Kailin Garrido finished undefeated atop Pool B after defeating St. Kitts and Nevis' Shajunee Gumbs and Jontelle Hensley 2-0 (21-4, 21-4). Defending champions, Puerto Rico's María González and Allanis Navas, clinched second place earlier with a 2-0 (21-8, 21-18) win over Costa Rica's Marcela Araya and Eugenia Ramírez.

Pool C was won by Mexico's Susana Torres and Abril Flores, who defeated Guatemala's Paola Alvarado and Naomi Monney 2-0 (21-15, 21-14). Both teams advanced to the quarterfinals after finishing first and second in the pool.

Venezuela's Valeria Moreno and Darlin Rodríguez rallied from a set down to defeat Nicaragua's Socorro López and Lolette Rodríguez 2-1 (15-21, 29-27, 15-12), securing first place in Pool D as both teams advanced to the quarterfinals.

In the remaining Pool C match, Reizel Bruhier and Shanna Rivera of Honduras defeated Trinidad and Tobago's Malika Davidson and Apphia Glasgow 2-0 (21-10, 21-10).
