Wonderful opportunities for Beach Volley in CAZOVA
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, October 30, 2013 – Players of Beach
Volleyball in the region have been advised to take advantage of
the wonderful opportunities being offered by FIVB and NORCECA to
develop their game in order to gain higher rankings and possible
podium trips for their respective countries.
That advice has come from long serving president of the Barbados
Volleyball Association and former external auditor of FIVB John
Griffith as he addressed the fifth consecutive FIVB Beach
Volleyball Seminar put on for players and coaches in Bridgetown
under the auspices of the Regional Development Centre in
Barbados.
For the fifth year in a row that seminar will be conducted by
FIVB coach Magda Falcao de Lima which will precede the highly
popular Sizzlin’ Sands Barbados Sunsplash now in a record 10th
year.
“We have achieved much with the indoor game and more
opportunities are available for the beach aspect since the cost
is lessened greatly as the team is just two players. Thus, we
are hoping that more of our players will make the transition to
the beach so that Barbados and the other regional teams can take
full advantage of the wonderful opportunities on offer from FIVB
and NORCECA,” stated Griffith. |
