Youth Beach Volleyballers in Aruba for CAZOVA YOG Qualifier
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, July 06, 2018 - The CAZOVA (Caribbean Zonal
Volleyball Association) Youth Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifier
will be staged for the second time this weekend at the beautiful
Eagle Beach in Aruba. The first qualifier was held four years
ago at Maracas Bay, in Trinidad and Tobago.
One pair per gender will qualifier for the prestigious Youth
Olympic Games to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October
6 to 18 this year. In 2014 Trinidad and Tobago Girls and Jamaica
Boys represented the Zone at the games then held in Nanjing
Olympic Sport Center in Nanjing China.
Six Countries Haiti, Jamaica, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, US
Virgin Islands and host Aruba are expected to compete in both
genders, when the games serve off on Saturday Morning from
8:30am. All the preliminary matches will be held on Saturday 7th July
and the Quarter Final, Semi Finals, Bronze and Finals will be
completed on Sunday 8th July.
CAZOVA Executive Director & Competition Director Daymian Stewart
will conductor inspections on Friday 6th July with the Aruba
Federation’s President Mrs. Filomena Daniel Curiel. There will
also be the Preliminary Inquiry and Technical Meeting held on
Friday.
Trinidad and Tobago was the first delegation to arrive in Aruba,
Jamaica and Haiti are also on Island early with US Virgin
Islands and Suriname due to arrive today Friday 6th July.
The teams and officials are being accommodated at the classy
Tropicana Aruba Resort, Palm-Eagle Beach, Oranjestad, Aruba.
