Beach Volleyball will be the center of attention at the Toronto
2015 Pan Am Games
TIJUANA, Mexico, January 13, 2015 .- Authorities of the Norceca
Volleyball Confederation showed their confidence in the beach
volleyball tournament that will take place at the Pan American
Games of Toronto 2015.
Ed Drakich, from Canada, was present during the meetings of the
Beach Volleyball Commission and showed some details about the
preparation of the competition that will take place at the
Chevrolet Beach Volleyball Center by the month of July.
The Pan American Village is 90 percent ready as it was exposed
previously, and competing teams could arrive in starting July 8,
according to Volleyball Canada’s Officer.
“This will be a new area in Toronto,” said Drakich. “It was
built in an old destilery just four kilometers away from the
competition venue and 30 minutes away from the airport.”
Drakich stated that there is no question about the beach
volleyball tournament will capture the attention due to the
interest of the televisión broadcasts. “Everybody will be
watching us, we will be followed by the TV and media, we will be
the latest sport to conclude everyday,” He exposed.
The competing courts will be filled with “Hutchinson sand”, the
same one used for the Olympic Games of London 2012 at the Horse
Guards Parade zone. |
