Mexico wins NORCECA Group C FIVB WCH Qualifier in five-set
thriller
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago, October 15, 2017.- Mexico
defeated Trinidad & Tobago in a five-set thriller 3-2 (25-21,
25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 15-9) to win the NORCECA Group C FIVB
Women’s World Championship Qualifier. With both teams having clinched their spots to the FIVB World
Championship, Mexico for eighth occasion and Trinidad & Tobago
for the first time, the title match was full of exciting and
long rallies.

Costa Rica finishes in third place at Group C WCH Qualifier

comfortable position to qualify to Japan’s 2018 Women’s FIVB

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago, October 13, 2017.- Trinidad &
Tobago prevailed over Dominica with an overwhelming 3-0 (25-16,
25-7, 25-9) performance on day one of competition at the NORCECA
Group C Qualifier at the National Cycling Centre in Port of
Spain.
The home team showed a powerful attack and solid performance.
Trinidad & Tobago had no difficulties to finish on top in 55
minutes, despite failing numerous serves, which in the end was
their best feature.

Mexico wins Group C opener to Costa Rica
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad & Tobago, October 13, 2017.- Mexico
defeated Costa Rica 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) to claim the
NORCECA Group C Qualifier at the National Cycling Centre in Port
of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
Both teams had a slow beginning but Mexico went on winning
spaces while breaking apart Costa Rica’s well-structured
defense. Mexico had the opportunity to change line-up in the
upper part of set three.
