Peruvian Brenda Uribe, MVP at U-20 Cup
LIMA, Peru, June 21, 2011 - Brenda Uribe, the Peruvian top
scorer in the final match her team won over Dominican Republic
in front of a sealed crowd at Miguel Grau Coliseum on Tuesday,
was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the U-20 Women’s Pan
American Cup.
Uribe was also the best attacker while her teammates.

Peru crowned at U-20 Pan American Cup
LIMA, Peru, June 21, 2011 – Peru claimed the title at the
U-20 Women’s Pan American Cup after defeating Dominican
Republic 3-1 (18-25, 29-27, 25-20, 25-17) in front of a
sealed partisan croad at Miguel Grau Coliseum on Tuesday.
Brenda Uribe led the Peruvians with 21 points.

Cuba claims bronze at U-20 Pan Am Cup

U-20 Women’s Pan American Cup after defeating Mexico in four

Mexico beat El Salvador in straight sets
LIMA, Peru, June 17, 2011 – Mexico beat El Salvador in straight
sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-11) for its second victory in Pool A of
the U-20 Women’s Pan American Volleyball Cup.
In the shortest match of the first two days (55 minutes) the
Mexicans took good advantage of the 23 errors of their opponents
and their offense was led by Samantha Bricio with 14 points, the

LIMA, Peru, June 16, 2011 – Peru outclassed El Salvador in
straight sets (25-8, 25-7, 25-12) in the second match of Pool B
of the First U-20 Women’s Pan American Cup at Miguel Grau
Coliseum, following a colorful opening ceremony.
Raffaela Camet was the match highest scorer with 14 points while
Vivian Baella added 10 in two sets she played. For the defeated

the breaks against Cuba and came out victors in straight sets
(25-22, 25-23, 25-22) in its opening match of the U-20 Women’s
Pan American Cup at Miguel Grau Coliseum.
With the offense led by big Elizabeth Martinez (1.92 m), top
scorer with 18 points, the Dominicans could close the victory
against their Caribbean neighbors, who played their first match
of the season without five of their main players who were

Argentina withdraws from U-20 Pan Am Cup
LIMA, Peru, June 16, 2011 – Argentina won’t participate in the
U-20 Women’s First Pan American Volleyball Cup that begins on
Thursday at Miguel Grau Coliseum of Lima.
The Argentinean side announced its withdrawal forced by the
impossibility of making the air trip from their country caused
by the cloud of ash spewing from a volcano in Chile that has
forced thousands of passengers.
