LIMA, Peru, June 17, 2011 – Peru gave their home fans a pretty victory defeating Venezuela 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-18) to tie with Mexico in top place of Pool at the 1st U-20 Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup. Mexico beat El Salvador in straight sets 

LIMA, Peru, June 17, 2011 – Mexico beat El Salvador in straight sets (25-13, 25-8, 25-11) for its second victory in Pool A of the  U-20 Women’s Pan American Volleyball Cup. In the shortest match of the first two days (55 minutes) the Mexicans took good advantage of the 23 errors of their opponents and their offense was led by Samantha Bricio with 14 points, the only player with double figures in the match.  More  Español

The Argentinean side announced its withdrawal forced by the impossibility of making the air trip from their country caused by the cloud of ash spewing from a volcano in Chile that has forced thousands of passengers.
