Sunday.

EDMONTON, Canada, May 18, 2018, Cuba dominated
Nicaragua today 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-10) at the NORCECA Women’s
Challenger Cup in Edmonton, Canada. Sulian Matienzo Linares was Cuba’s top scorer
with 13 points. The Challenger Cup was originally a six-team
tournament, but Costa Rica withdrew at the last minute due to
travel issues.

Canada looked more organized than the Caribbean nation,
particularly in the first two sets. Alexa Gray of Calgary,
Alberta, was a top scorer for the home country with 15 points.
