ORANJESTAD, Aruba, December 2, 2012 – Tealle Hunkus and Summer
Ross of USA-A claimed the gold medal of the Aruba Beach
Volleyball Tournament, the eleventh stop of the 2012 NORCECA
Circuit, after a straight-set victory (21-19, 21-17) over
Mexico’s Bibi Candelas and Martha Revuelta on Sunday.
It was the second title in a row for Ross, who paired with Emily
Day to win the previous stage in Trinidad & Tobago where Hunkus.

Mexicans Virgen and Ontiveros triumph in Aruba
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, December 2, 2012 – Mexico’s Juan Virgen and
Lombardo Ontiveros captured the men’s gold medal of the Aruba
Beach Volleyball Tournament with a convincing 21-12, 21-15
victory over USA’s Will Montgomery and James Drost at Druif
Beach on Sunday.
It was the second title of the year for the Mexican pair who
earlier won at home in the Toluca stage.
“This is a great victory for us against a very good team of
USA,” Virgen said after the match. “And it is very good to be
the winners in the first ever NORCECA tournament in Aruba.”

Mexicans Candelas and Revuelta to Aruba’s semis
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, December 1, 2012 – Teams of Mexico, Puerto
Rico, United States and Costa Rica advanced to the women’s
semifinals of the Aruba Beach Volleyball Tournament the eleventh
stop of the 2012 NORCECA Circuit at Druif Beach on Saturday.
Mexicans Bibi Candelas and Martha Revuelta booked their ticket
to the final-four phase by defeating.

Exciting men’s semifinals at Druif Beach on Sunday
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, December 1, 2012 – Teams of United States,
Saint Lucia, Dominican Republic and Mexico captured semifinals
berths in the men’s competition of the Aruba Beach Volleyball
Tournament, the eleventh leg of the 2012 NORCECA Circuit on
Saturday at Druif Beach.
In the quarterfinals round, Will Montgomery and James Drost.

Opening in Aruba includes Carnival Show
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, November 30, 2012 – The official opening
ceremony of the Aruba Beach Volleyball Tournament held on Friday
night featured a small but meaningful sample of the traditional
Carnival of Aruba.
The queen of this year’s festival accompanied by the junior
princess and prince led the participant members of the local
group that paraded in front of the players involved in the
eleventh and final stage of the 2012 NORCECA Circuit at Druif
Beach.
The Aruba Carnival is a month-long thrilling show of music,
dance, costumes and marches that starts.

Men of TTO, Mexico and Dominican Republic jump ahead
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, November 30, 2012 – The men’s duos of
Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico and Dominican Republic won their two
matches of day one at the Aruba Beach Volleyball Tournament, the
eleventh stop of the 2012 NORCECA Circuit on Friday.
Playing in Pool C, Trinidadians Fabien Whitfield and Daneil
Williams and Mexicans Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros both
claimed victories over the teams of USA-B and Barbados.

Puerto Rico and Costa Rica score two victories
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, November 30, 2012 – Puerto Ricans Yarleen
Santiago and Yamileska Yantin won their two matches of Pool D in
the first day of action at the Aruba Beach Volleyball
Tournament, the eleventh and final leg of the 2012 NORCECA
Circuit.
Santiago/Yantín, who won the tournaments of Boca Chica and
Mayaguez this year, first defeated the United States-B team of Stevi Robinson and Kirby Burnham by scores of 21-16, 21-11 and
then beat compatriots Dariam Acevedo and Tatiana Encarnacion of
Puerto Rico-B by 21-13, 21-18.

Aruba Tournament set to serve off at Druif Beach
Oranjestad, Aruba, November 29, 2012 – Saint Lucia will play
against Panama in the men’s competition while USA-A will meet
Costa Rica-B in the women’s division as the Aruba Beach
Volleyball Tournament kicks off at Druif Beach on Friday
morning.
The eleventh and final stage of the 2012 NORCECA will have a
money-prize purse of US$16,000 with the winning pair per gender
pocketing US$3,000.

Montgomery going for a “hat-trick” in Aruba
ORANJESTAD, Aruba, November 27,
2012 – American Will Montgomery will march after a third
consecutive men’s gold medal in the NORCECA Beach Volleyball
Circuit when the action begins at the eleventh and final stage
of the year in Aruba from November 30 to December 2. Montgomery,
winner of the last two stops in Santa Lucia and Trinidad &
Tobago with Johan Mesko and Antonio Ciarelli respectively, will
be paired this time with James Avery Drost.
