SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 29, 2026 – Canada defeated host Dominican Republic 3-1 (25-15, 20-25, 25-23, 25-14) in the final of the NORCECA Women’s Continental Olympic Qualifier at the “Prof. Ricardo Gioriver Arias” Volleyball Palace, securing its berth in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Canada will return to the Olympic stage after a 32-year absence. The Canadian women’s last Olympic appearance came at the Atlanta 1996 Games. Cuba Finishes Third at NORCECA Women’s Olympic Qualifier

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 29, 2026 – Cuba defeated Puerto Rico in straight sets 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-21) to secure third place at the NORCECA Women’s Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament at the “Prof. Ricardo Gioriver Arias” Volleyball Palace in Santo Domingo. Cuba held a 36-35 edge in attacks and outperformed Puerto Rico 12-7 in blocks, while Puerto Rico led 6-2 in aces. The Cubans committed only 13 errors compared to Puerto Rico’s 25. Dominican Republic to Face Canada for Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Ticket

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 27, 2026.- Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico will compete for a ticket to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games at the NORCECA Women’s Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament, to be held August 28-29 at the “Prof. Ricardo Gioriver Arias” Volleyball Palace in Santo Domingo. The four teams earned their places in the Olympic Qualifier based on their final positions at the 2026 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship, excluding the United States, which is already qualified for LA 2028 as the host country. The competition will feature two semifinals on Friday, August 28. Canada will face Puerto Rico at 5:00 p.m., followed by Cuba against host Dominican Republic at 8:00 p.m., both local time. Champion Scores 34 points as Puerto Rico Secures World Cup and Olympic Qualifier Berths

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 26, 2026 – Decelise Champion delivered a 34-point performance as Puerto Rico came back to defeat Mexico 3-2 (25-16, 23-25, 23-25, 25-17, 15-11) and finish fifth at the 2026 NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship. The victory earned Puerto Rico a berth at the 2027 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup and the final spot in the NORCECA Olympic Qualification Tournament, to be held August 28-29 at the “Prof. Ricardo Gioriver Arias” Volleyball Palace. Costa Rica finishes seventh at the NORCECA Continental Championship

Costa Rica finished the tournament with a 1-4 record, while Trinidad and Tobago finished without a win. The Costa Ricans dominated in attacks (44-12) and aces (4-3), while both teams were tied at 3 blocks. Costa Rica committed 16 errors compared to Trinidad's 24. With a perfect 3-0 record, Canada secured first place in Pool A and advanced directly to Tuesday’s semifinals. The United States finished second in the pool and will compete in Monday’s quarterfinals. The United States took a 2-1 lead after winning the first and third sets, but Canada responded by taking a closely contested fourth set 25-23 to force the tie-break.
