SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, October 13, 2026.-
El Salvador will host the 2026 U23 NORCECA Beach Volleyball
Continental Tour from October 16 to 18 at the Beach Volleyball
Stadium "Flor Blanca" in San Salvador, bringing together 32
teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
The competition will feature 16 women's and 16 men's duos and
will serve as part of the qualification pathway toward the 2029
Junior Pan American Games. This will be the only U23 NORCECA
Beach Volleyball Continental Tour event held in 2026.
The official list of participating teams, pool composition, and
match schedule will be announced on Thursday, October 15, once
the team registration process has been completed.
The tournament will bring together promising young athletes
alongside players who have already earned recognition at
regional and international competitions, including NORCECA Tour
medalists, Central American champions and World Championship
standouts.
Among the women's teams, the United States will be represented
by sisters Avery Junk and Addison Junk, who captured the silver
medal at the 2025 FIVB U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships,
where they competed in an all-American final.
Costa Rica will field athletes with notable regional
achievements. Reigning Under 23 Central American champion Laura
Molina will partner with Ashly Chavarría, while Central American
silver medalist Nicaraguan Nahima Silva will compete alongside
Abdi Nazareth Narváez.

medalist, will join María Jimena Castañeda, the reigning Central
American U19 champion. Guatemala's women's delegation will
include Marisabel González, a Central American U19 bronze
medalist.
In the men's competition, Mexico's Carlos Andrés Ayala and Ines
Vargas Lares enter with an impressive record, having captured
five gold medals during the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour
season. The Mexican duo also earned silver at the 2026 Central
American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo and bronze at the
2025 FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Puebla,
Mexico.
The United States will feature Malachi Brewington and Titus
Lance, who won gold together at the NORCECA Tour event in Juan
Dolio, Dominican Republic, before finishing tied for fifth at
the 2025 FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball World Championships in
Puebla.
Canada's Conaires Taub also brings international experience to
the men's field, having competed in several Volleyball World
Beach Pro Tour events during the 2024 and 2025 seasons,
including Elite16, Challenge and Futures tournaments.
Central America will also be represented by athletes with
regional achievements. Nicaragua's Jesy Umaña, a Central
American bronze medalist in this age-group, will team up with
Angelo Moisés Guadamuz, while Guatemala's Robin Oliva, a Central
American U19 champion, will compete alongside Fredy Luna.
Beyond the competition for medals, the U23 NORCECA Beach
Volleyball Continental Tour represents an important opportunity
for the region's developing athletes to gain international
experience while pursuing qualification toward the 2029 Junior
Pan American Games.
