Jessica Mruzik Named MVP of the 2026 Women’s Pan American Cup

LEÓN, Mexico, September 18, 2026.- USA’s outside hitter Jessica Mruzik was named Most Valuable Player of the 2026 Women’s Pan American Cup following her team’s straight-set victory over Dominican Republic in Friday’s gold medal match at the Domo de la Feria in León, Guanajuato.

Mruzik led the individual awards presented at the conclusion of the tournament, which saw USA claim its eighth gold medal and its first since 2019.

Dominican Republic’s Flormarie Heredia received two honors: Best Spiker and Best Scorer. She finished the tournament with 121 points, including 112 attacks, eight blocks and one ace. Her teammate Geraldine González was named Best Blocker after recording 34 stuff blocks.

Mexico, which earned its first Women’s Pan American Cup bronze medal, had two players recognized. Aimé Topete received the Second Best Spiker award, while Sofía Maldonado was named Best Opposite.

Dominican Republic’s Yaneirys Rodríguez collected both the Best Libero and Best Digger awards, finishing with 162 digs. Canada’s Emma Boyd received the Second Best Blocker award.

USA captain Rachel Fairbanks was named Best Setter with 52 running sets. Puerto Rico completed the awards list with Valeria Vázquez named Best Receiver and Ivania Ortiz recognized as Best Server.
