NORCECA’s Financial Stability Strengthens
Support for National Federations
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, September 4, 2026.- NORCECA’s
sustained financial stability continues to strengthen the
Confederation’s capacity to provide assistance and development
resources to its National Federations and Zonal Associations,
NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz highlighted during the
2026 NORCECA Finance Commission Virtual Meeting.
Marte said that following the disruption caused by the COVID-19
pandemic, when competitions were significantly limited and one
of NORCECA’s main sources of income was affected, the
Confederation has maintained strong financial performance over
the past three years.
He emphasized that NORCECA has not only regained its
pre-pandemic financial stability but is now performing above
several of its strongest years, allowing the organization to
increase its support for National Federations and volleyball
development throughout the region.
Marte expressed optimism that NORCECA’s financial performance
will continue to strengthen in 2026, particularly with the
staging of major competitions, including the NORCECA Senior
Continental Championships and the men’s and women’s Olympic
Qualification Tournaments.
He also recognized AFECAVOL for organizing several continental
age-group competitions and expressed his expectation that ECVA
and CAZOVA will host continental age-group events in the future,
helping expand competitive and development opportunities
throughout NORCECA.

NORCECA and support its continued growth, while underscoring
accountability as an essential component of the Confederation’s
financial management. She also congratulated NORCECA’s finance
staff for its work.
