Chile defeats Peru for fifth place

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 4, 2013.-Chiletook the fifth place at the U-18 Girls Pan American Cupafter their historic victory over Peru by 3-20 (16-25, 25-14, 17-25, 25-16, 16-14).Both teams showed resistance and were equally aggressive as their statistics reveal a small margin of difference. Brazil to play for the U-18 Pan Am title 

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 3, 2013. -Brazil advanced to the final match of the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup defeating Argentina 3-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-19) in the first semifinal contest at Teodoro Palacios Flores Gymnasium in Guatemala. Brazilians earned the right to play for the Pan Am title with advantage in aces by 7-2 and stronger defense over.

Chile to play for fifth place 

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 3, 2013. -Chile beat Colombia 3-1 (25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 25-16) and will play for the fifth place of the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup. Chile held a better margin in the serving category by 10-3, led by Catalina Melo with impressive 33 points. GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, May 1, 2013. – Chile scored a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-19) victory over Colombia and reaches the quarterfinals of the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup. Chile concludes with a 2-1 win-loss mark in Pool B while Colombia finishes 1-2 and will play for the 5-8 positions. Colombia dominates Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, April 30, 2013. - Colombia had no difficulties to dominate Guatemala 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 21-11) in Group B at the U-18 Girls Pan American Cup on Tuesday night. Colombia was superior with a huge advantage in all categories, attacks by 34-11, in blocking with 11-4 and by 12-2 in service points.
