Brazilian Cardoso elected MVP at U21 Pan Am Cup
FORT MCMURRAY, Canada, May 21, 2017 – Victor Cardoso, the top
scorer of the Brazilian team that won the U21 Men’s Volleyball
Pan American Cup, was elected the most valuable player of the
tournament on Sunday. Cardoso, who finished the tournament with 54 points, reserved 16
of those points to lead Brazil in the title match against Cuba
held at the Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre.

Volunteers rally around U21 Pan Am Cup in Fort McMurray
This week, as the top men’s junior volleyball players from seven
countries, including Canada, descended upon Fort McMurray, which
part of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Alberta,
Canada, many local residents were quick to volunteer to help run
the international tournament. Even before a fire devastated the
area only one year ago, “Fort Mac”.

Canada’s top scorers were Matthew Passalent of Hamilton,
