Canadians Binstock and Schachter victorious at home
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 13, 2014 – Canadians Josh Binstock and
Sam Schachter stormed past Puerto Ricans Roberto Rodriguez and
Erick Haddock to claim their first gold medal of the year in the
NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit with a 21-11, 21-12 victory on
Sunday.
Binstock and Schachter relied on their strong and high blocking
game to dominate Rodríguez and Haddock who were seeking their

Hunkus and McGiven-Dicello win for the third time in 2014
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 13, 2014 – Tealle Hunkus and Kimberly
McGiven-Dicello of United States-A captured their third gold
medal of the season in the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit with
a 2-0 (21-11, 26-24) over the home favorites Melissa Humaña and
Taylor Pischke of Canada-A on Sunday.
Playing under breezy conditions in Marathon Beach, the American
duo cruised to claim the first set but had to fight hard against
the high spirited Canadian duo before claiming the victory.

Three countries represented in men’s semifinals
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 12, 2014 – Teams of Puerto Rico, United
States and Canada will play the men’s semifinals of the North
Bay Beach Volleyball Tournament, the sixth leg of the 2014
NORCECA Circuit.
Puerto Ricans Roberto Rodriguez and Erick Haddock will meet Ty
Nick Tramble and James Drost of USA-A in the final four stage.
It will be Canada versus Canada in the other semifinals between
Sam Pedlow and Grant O’Gorman and Josh Binstock/Sam Schachter.
Rodriguez/Haddock completed their dominance of Pool A with a
3-0. More

USA and Canada secure berths in women’s finals
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 12, 2014 – United States and Canada both
are secured of berth in the women’s finals of the North Bay
Beach Volleyball Tournament, the sixth stop of the 2014 NORCECA
Circuit.
Representatives of the two countries will be playing between
themselves in the semifinals to be contested on Sunday morning
at Marathon Beach on the shores of Lake Nipissing in Ontario.
The USA-A team of Tealle Hunkus and Kimberly McGiven-Dicello
will play compatriots Kendra Vanzwieten and Daley Allison of
USA-B in the first semifinal. The Canada-A duo of Melissa Humaña
and Taylor Pischke will play Victoria Altomare and Julie Gordon
of Canada-D in the other semifinal match.
Hunkus/McGiven-Dicello finished Pool A with a 4-0 win-loss
record and defeated Costa Rica’s Karen Cope a.

Puerto Rico and two Canadian teams unbeaten in North Bay
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 11, 2014 – Puerto Ricans Roberto
Rodriguez and Erick Haddock, who have achieved podium
positions in four of five competitions of the year, scored
convincing victories in their two outings on Friday at the
North Bay Beach Volleyball Tournament, the sixth leg of the
2014 NORCECA Circuit. The
tandem Rodriguez/Haddock, victorious in Manzanillo, Mexico
and winners of a silver medal in Antigua Guatemala, opened
the actions in Pool A with a 21-16, 21-14 win over Cameron
Wheelan and Michael Plantinga of Canada-C and stormed past
Cayman Islands’ duo of Phillippe Desholandes and Richard
Campbell 21-11, 21-11. More

Perfect day for Canadians Humaña and Pischke
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 11, 2014 – It was literally a day at the
beaches for home favorites Melissa Humaña and Taylor Pischke as
the top Canadian women’s team pocketed victories in their three
matches in the opening day of the North Bay Beach Volleyball
Tournament, the sixth stop of the 2014 NORCECA Circuit.
The top ranked team in Pool B, the duo Humaña/Pischke,
representing Canada-A, began the day claiming a 21-17, 21-15
victory over Kendra Vanzwieten and Daley Allison of United
States B and continued with a 21-14, 23-21.

Historic NORCECA Beach Tournament in Canada
NORTH BAY, Canada, July 10, 2014 – The NORCECA Beach Volleyball
Circuit will be making history on Friday as the sixth leg of the
2014 event visits Canada for the first time in the history of
the annual competition.
The double gender tournament to be played from July 11-13 on
three courts set up on Marathon Beach on the shores of Lake
Nipissing is also serving as a test event for the 2015.
