Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, leading a strong Dominican
presence among the individual award winners. Peña, who helped the
Dominican Republic capture its seventh consecutive gold medal at the
Central American and Caribbean Games, also received the First Best
Spiker award.

the bronze medal in the women’s volleyball tournament at the 25th

defeating Cuba 3-0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-18). The victory gave Puerto
Rico its third bronze medal in the history of the Central American
and Caribbean Games. The Puerto Ricans have also won six silver
medals for a total of nine medals in the competition.

after dropping the opening set to defeat Costa Rica 3-1 (23-25,

women's volleyball tournament at the 25th Central American and
Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. Venezuela will face Mexico for
fifth place, while Costa Rica will play Trinidad and Tobago for
seventh place. Costa Rica finished the opening set strongly after a
slow start that saw Venezuela build an early lead. The Costa Ricans
rallied with solid offensive play to take the set. From the second
set onward, Venezuela settled into its rhythm, becoming more
consistent in attack and at the net. The South Americans controlled
the fourth set from start to finish, limiting Costa Rica to just
nine points to seal the victory.

offensive performance and effective serving. The Mexicans outscored
Trinidad and Tobago 31-19 in attacks and held a commanding 12-2
advantage in aces. They also edged their opponents in blocking (6-5)
while committing only 13 unforced errors compared to Trinidad and
Tobago's 26. With the victory, Mexico will face the winner of the
Costa Rica-Venezuela match for fifth place. Trinidad and Tobago will
meet the loser for seventh place.
