Americans Geena Urango and Megan Rice Win Gold in NORCECA Tour
Finals
JUAN
DOLIO, Dominican Republic, December 14, 2025.- The American duo of
Geena Urango and Megan Rice won the gold medal match of the 2025
NORCECA Tour Finals and eleventh stage of the event, with a
hard-fought 2-1 (21-19, 19-21, 15-5) victory against Marie-Alex
Bélanger and Lea Monkhouse from Canada on Sunday in Juan Dolio,
Dominican Republic. This marked Geena and Megan’s first appearance
together on the NORCECA Tour, and they captured the gold medal.
“Coming to the Dominican Republic to play a NORCECA is awesome;
getting to play with all the elements: heat, wind, sun, is
phenomenal. This was a great competition, and I was happy to do it
with Megan,” said Geena. “This is our first NORCECA together, which
was great” stated Megan. She praised her teammate Geena, adding “She
was named MVP of the AVP this year, so I feel blessed getting to
play with her in these international events, so USA gets to see how
great she is again and it’s about time that the international Tour
gets to see her as well”.

Samuel
Schachter and Jonathan Pickett Crowned Champions at Juan Dolio
NORCECA Tour Finals
JUAN
DOLIO, Dominican Republic, December 14, 2025.– Canada’s Samuel
Schachter and Jonathan Pickett were crowned champions of the 2025
NORCECA Tour Finals in Juan Dolio after defeating Cuba’s Damián
Gómez and Eblis Veranes in straight sets, 2-0 (21-18, 22-20).
It marked the first NORCECA Tour gold medal for Schachter and
Pickett as a team. Schachter previously won silver at the 2024
NORCECA Tour Finals with former partner Dan Dearing and captured
gold with Dearing at the 2022 Finals. “Oh Man! Winning gold is
awesome, I’m extremely tired” stated Pickett. “This was a great
experience, my first NORCECA Finals with Sam; we were able to get
the win here in beautiful Dominican Republic. Now we have a good
start for next year moving into the World Tour” he added. More

Canada, El Salvador, Cuba and Dominican Republic Advance to Men’s
Semifinals at NORCECA Tour Finals

DOLIO, Dominican Republic, December 13, 2025.– Canada, El Salvador,
Cuba, and host nation Dominican Republic advanced to the men’s
semifinals of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour Finals in Juan
Dolio. In one of the semifinals, Canada’s Samuel Schachter and
Jonathan Pickette will face the Dominican Republic’s cousins
Hayerling and Melvin De Jesús. The other semifinal will feature El
Salvador’s twin brothers Christopher and Yoel Guardado against
Cuba’s Damián Gómez and Eblis Veranes. In the quarterfinals,
Schachter/Pickette defeated Venezuela’s Enyenser Delgado and Carlos
Rivero in straight sets, 2-0 (21-10, 21-12). The De Jesús cousins
advanced by overcoming Guatemala’s Edgar Maldonado and José
Izaguirre 2-0 (21-19, 21-19).

at NORCECA Tour Finals

semifinals of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour Finals are set,
with duos from Puerto Rico, Canada, the United States, and Venezuela
advancing to the Final Four at Juan Dolio. Puerto
Rico’s María González and Allanis Navas, Canada’s Marie-Alex
Bélanger and Lea Monkhouse, USA’s Geena Urango and Megan Rice, and
Venezuela’s Sara López and Darlin Rodríguez emerged victorious from
Saturday’s quarterfinals. González and Navas continue to make
history, aiming to reach their eighth gold medal match of the 2025
NORCECA Tour season—an unprecedented achievement in the
competition’s history. The Puerto Rican pair will face Canada’s
Bélanger and Monkhouse in one of Sunday’s semifinals. More

Six Men’s Teams Go Undefeated Through
Two Matches on Day One of the 2025 NORCECA Tour Finals

December 12, 2025. – Six men’s teams—representing the Dominican
Republic, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, and Canada—closed
out day one of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Tour Finals with perfect 2-0
records, setting the stage for decisive matchups on Saturday at Juan
Dolio Beach. Local favorites Hayerling De Jesús and Melvin De Jesús,
along with Belize’s Francis Hauze and Edgar Martínez, will battle
for first place in Pool A after both duos delivered dominant
performances. The Dominican pair swept Tao Blanc/Rodolphe-Emmanuel
of Martinique 2-0 (21-12, 21-4) and later overpowered Zendai
Richards/Julian Bristol of St. Kitts & Nevis 2-0 (21-8, 21-12).
Hauze/Martínez also remained flawless, defeating Richards/Bristol
2-0 (21-14, 21-19) and Tao/Rodolphe-Emmanuel 2-0 (21-11, 21-10). In
Pool B, Managua champions Christopher and Yoel Guardado of El
Salvador and Guatemala’s Edgar Maldonado/José Izaguirre stayed
unbeaten after strong showings against duos from Panama and Grenada.

Mexico, Nicaragua, Canada and USA Women Start Strong with Two Wins
Each at NORCECA Beach Tour Finals

from Mexico, Nicaragua, Canada and the United States opened the
NORCECA Beach Tour Finals in commanding fashion on Friday at Juan
Dolio Beach, each securing two victories to set the pace in their
respective pools. In Pool C, Mexico’s Susana Torres/Atenas Gutiérrez
and Nicaragua’s Socorro López/Lolette Rodríguez showcased their
dominance with perfect starts. Torres and Gutiérrez opened the day
with a convincing 2-0 (21-3, 21-2) win over Karine François/Carole
Herve of Martinique, followed by another straight-set victory, 2-0
(21-6, 21-14), against El Salvador’s Daniela Tovar/Keiry Guzmán.
López and Rodríguez were equally impressive, defeating Tovar/Guzmán
2-0 (21-14, 21-13) before closing their day with a strong 2-0
(21-13, 21-5) victory over Martinique. More

Beach, featuring thirty teams seeking to earn valuable points toward
the upcoming season. This eleventh and decisive stop of the 2025
calendar will award double points for the NORCECA continental
ranking as well as points for the FIVB World Ranking, making it a
crucial event in closing the regional qualification system for the
Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.

Dolio Gears Up for the Final Stage of the 2025 NORCECA Tour
JUAN
DOLIO, Dominican Republic, December 8, 2025.– The excitement of
continental beach volleyball reaches its peak with the Final Stage
and eleventh stop of the 2025 NORCECA Tour, set to take place from
December 12 to 14 in the picturesque sands of Juan Dolio, Dominican
Republic. The final stage of the 2025 NORCECA Tour promises three
days of high-level competition, with teams aiming not only for the
podium but also to secure their spot at the 2026 Central American
and Caribbean Games, which will feature a minimum of twelve teams
per gender. A total of 16 teams per gender from 17 countries have
registered for the event, with official participation to be
confirmed during.
