Dominican Republic Advances Directly to the Santo Domingo 2026 Semifinals

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 4, 2026. – The Dominican Republic maintained its perfect record and secured first place in Pool B of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-19, 19-25, 25-16) victory over Puerto Rico, earning a direct berth to the semifinals before a packed and enthusiastic crowd at the Prof. Ricardo Gioriver Arias Volleyball Palace. Dominican fans celebrated from start to finish. The crowd rose to its feet before the final point, and although the match extended after the hosts lost serve on their first match point opportunity, the arena erupted in celebration when the home team closed out the victory to finish the pool stage undefeated. Colombia Tops Mexico to Book Direct Semifinal Berth at Santo Domingo 2026

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 4, 2026. – Colombia claimed first place in Pool A and a direct berth in the semifinals of the women's volleyball tournament at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 with a convincing 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-21) victory over Mexico. Colombia completed pool play undefeated to advance directly to the semifinals, while second-place Mexico will compete in the quarterfinal round.
