USA Opens U21 Pan American Cup with Straight-Set Victory over Venezuela

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 7, 2026. – Defending champion United States opened its quest for a fourth consecutive title with a convincing 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-15) victory over Venezuela in Pool A on the opening day of the 2026 NORCECA Women’s U21 Pan American Cup at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio. The Americans controlled the match from start to finish, although Venezuela offered its strongest resistance in the second set before the United States regained control to close out the match in straight sets. The U.S. led in attacks (47-23), blocks (5-3), and service aces (4-2). Abigail Vander Wal paced the United States with 13 points. More  Español

Canada Outlasts Mexico in Thrilling Pool A Match at U21 Pan American Cup

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 7, 2026. – Canada battled back from a 2-1 deficit in sets to defeat Mexico in a thrilling five-set battle, 3-2 (25-19, 18-25, 21-25, 25-23, 18-16), in Pool A action on opening day of the 2026 NORCECA Women’s U21 Pan American Cup at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio. After taking the opening set, Canada watched Mexico seize control by winning the next two. The Canadians responded by edging Mexico in a tightly contested fourth set to force a tiebreak, where they erased a two-point deficit late in the set before prevailing 18-16 to secure the victory.
