Panama is undefeated with a five-set victory against Belize

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 14, 2024. - Panama is undefeated with a five-set victory, 3-2 (24-26, 25-22, 20-25, 25-23, 18-16), against Belize at the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship on Monday night at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium in Chitré, Panama. Panama stands unbeaten at 3-0 after four days of competition, while Belize holds a 2-2 record.  On the fifth day of competition, Belize (2-2) will face Honduras (0-4) at 5:30 p.m., and Panama (3-0) will play against Nicaragua (2-1) at 8:00 p.m.  Panama secured the win by capitalizing on 40 errors from Belize compared to their 23, and with an 8-6 advantage in aces. Costa Rica Beats El Salvador with Remarkable Comeback in Five Sets

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 14, 2024. - Costa Rica defeated El Salvador in a remarkable comeback, 3-2 (20-25, 26-28, 25-16, 26-24, 15-9), on the fourth day of the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium in Chitré, Panama. With the win, Costa Rica improved to a 2-1 record, while El Salvador remains winless at 0-4. Costa Rica (2-1) will face the current champion Guatemala (3-0) on Tuesday, October 15, at 3:00 p.m., and El Salvador (0-4) will have a rest day.   More Español

CHITRÉ, Panama, October 15, 2024.- Guatemala swept Costa Rica 25-13, 25-14, 25-16 to remain unbeaten in the XX AFECAVOL U21 Men’s Central American Championship on Tuesday at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium in Chitré, Panama.
