HAVANA, Cuba, May 19, 2010 – Cuba captured a 3-1
(27-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-23) victory against
Serbia completing a sweep of the three-match
friendly series at Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum in
preparation for the upcoming FIVB World League.
Yoandy Leal starred for Cuba with 19 points,
including three serving aces, and Rolando Cepeda

NORCECA approves three-year process towards
World Championships
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, May 15, 2010
– A three-year qualification process towards the
2014 FIVB World Championships was approved on
Saturday by NORCECA Volleyball Confederation as
part of the development program within the
organization which groups 41 countries from
North. Central America and the Caribbean.
A total of 39 tournaments are scheduled -20 for
women and 19 for men- starting in 2011.
