Argentina is the new U23 Pan American champion
GUANAJUATO, Mexico, September 10 2016 - Argentina became the
Champion of the Men’s U23 Pan American Cup after beating
Cuba 3-1 (25-19, 21-15, 25-19 and 25-20). The South American
team already qualified to the FIVB Men’s U23 World
Championship had Nicholas Lazo as top scorer with 20 points
while German Johansen who later became the Most Valuable
Player of the Tournament scored 16 and Gaston Fernandez
finished with 12.

Chile wins Bronze in Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup
GUANAJUATO, Mexico, September 10, 2016 - Chile won the bronce
medal match in the III Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup after beating
Colombia in straight sets by scores of de 25-20, 25-16 and
25-23. Chilean captain, Dusan Bonacic, tallied 19 points and
Christopher Baeza registered 11.

Cuba defeats Chile and advances to the finals
GUANAJUATO, Mexico, September 9 2016 - Cuba defeated Chile in
three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-22 to grant the
ticket to the Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup finals.
Miguel Lopez topped with 19 points, including seven aces. Osniel
Rendon closed with 17 and three ases, while Osniel Melgarejo
scored 13.

victory at Men’s U23 Pan Am Cup after beating Trinidad and

Lucas finished in seventh place and had Wagner Chacón as its
