Thousands take part of Volley Fest in Santo Domingo
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, November 27, 2012 – The East
Santo Domingo Public School Volleyball Festival began here on
Monday with the participation of 1,728 students of both
genders. The activity took place at the multi-purpose Invivienda
Gymnasium and is organized by the Physical Education Institute
in collaboration with the FIVB Regional Development Center in
the Dominican Republic. The players of ages between 10-15
years-old are divided in 144 teams -72 male and 72 female – and
the number of participants.

Coaches Course concludes in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, November 19, 2012 – Twenty-eight participants
from 18 countries took part in the International Coaches Course
Level I successfully concluded on Saturday at Foster College
facilities in Kingston. The participants received their
certificates from, among others, Mr. Michael Fennell, president
of Jamaica Olympic Committee.

VCP Referee Course in Guatemala
MAZATENANGO, Guatemala, November 7, 2012 – A National Referee
Course is currently underway in Guatemala under the auspices of
the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Program.
A total of 34 representatives from 15 departments of the
Republic of Guatemala are taking part in the course, including
four female referees.
The course is being addressed by Jose Ramon Perez Vento,
president and member of NORCECA and FIVB Refereeing Commission
respectively.

International Coaches Course begins in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica, November 6, 2012 – An International Course
for Coaches Level I began in Jamaica on Tuesday with 28
participants from eighteen countries. The directors of the
course are the experienced FIVB Instructors Athanasios
Papageorgiou of Greece and Ramiro Hart of Curacao. The opening
ceremony was attended by Michael Fennell, President of Jamaica
Olympic Committee, Warrenton Dixon, President of Jamaica
Volleyball Association.

Seminar for Setters concludes in Antigua
St.
John's, Antigua & Barbuda, October 11, 2012 – An International
Technical Seminar for Setters was held in Antigua & Barbuda
October 7 to 10. The sessions ended with a closing ceremony on
Wednesday. A total of 27 students received their FIVB
certificate. The participants came from 16 different countries,
including Haiti, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Aruba, Trinidad & Tobago,
Suriname, St. Eustatius, Grenada.

Data Volley and Video Course concludes in Tijuana
